Overview
The micro planetary ball mill is a powder-processing device for mixing, fine grinding, sample preparation, new product development and small-batch production of high-tech materials. Compact in size but complete in function, it runs with high efficiency and low noise, which makes it a practical choice for research institutes, universities and corporate laboratories that need to obtain research samples quickly — four samples can be prepared simultaneously in each run. With a vacuum ball mill tank fitted, samples can also be ground under vacuum.
The glove box special edition
Micro planetary ball mills are produced in two versions: the regular model XQM-0.2 and the glove box model XQM-0.2S. This page covers the glove box special edition, which is designed to be placed inside a glove box so that the mill can be operated under vacuum or with inert gas protection. That extends the scope of grinding and materials research for users, and it makes it possible to grind materials that simply cannot be ball milled in a normal environment.
Since the glove box version is controlled from a separate unit, the XQM-0.2S is supplied with an electric control box measuring 200 * 180 * 240 mm. The regular XQM-0.2 has no control box.

Construction
The shell uses a semicircular design element, stamped with high-precision moulds, which gives the machine a refined, stable appearance. Machined parts are produced on CNC equipment, the planetary disk is integrally cast, and the transmission gears are made from special materials and precision-cut, so the mill runs smoothly and quietly at high speed. The grinding tank holding device is easy to operate, safe and reliable.
Applications
The mill is used for mixing, fine grinding, sample preparation, new product development and small-batch production of high-tech materials. In its glove box form it suits laboratories working with air-sensitive, oxygen-sensitive or moisture-sensitive materials, and it can be combined with a vacuum grinding jar for grinding under vacuum.
