QXQM series planetary ball mill has four ball grinding tanks installed on one disc. When the turn disc rotates, the mill pots revolve on their own axis and make 360 degree rotation. And the balls in the tanks grind and mix samples in high speed movement. The product can smash and blend various products of different materials and granularity with dry or wet methods. Minimum granularity of ground samples can be as small as 0.1 micron meter. Please note: for this TENCAN ball mill, you require two or four grinding jars of your choice and the corresponding number of grinding balls. The grinding jar material must be harder than the material to be ground. In normal cases, grinding jars and balls of the same material are used. To shorten the grinding time, larger or heavier grinding jars and grinding balls with a higher density can be used.

The 360-Degree Turnover That Eliminates Grinding Dead Zones
Conventional planetary mills spin the jars around one fixed axis, but the QXQM-6 adds a second, independent motion: the entire planetary disk can turn over through 360 degrees while the jars rotate on their own axes at a speed ratio of 1: -2 relative to the disk. Because the orientation of every jar is continuously changing, the grinding media inside never settles into a repeating pattern, and the sample is worked evenly from every direction. This is the key difference behind the "full directional" name — and the reason why sticky, moist or layered samples can still be ground uniformly instead of accumulating in a dead zone at the bottom of the jar.
The turnover motion is fully controllable: the motor that drives the disk can be stopped and locked at any position, so the operator decides whether the jars should sweep through the full 360 degrees or work within a preferred angular range. Together with the strong impact and friction forces generated inside the jars, this flexibility allows the QXQM-6 to process hard minerals, brittle ceramics, fibrous plant materials and soft samples alike, down to a final fineness of 0.1 micron when required.
Programmable Grinding Sessions from Minutes to 72 Hours
Long or complex grinding sequences do not need constant supervision. The QXQM-6 combines automatic, programmable control with a clear LED display, and offers several selectable grinding modes. Total running time can be set up to 9,999 minutes, and forward and reverse intervals can each be programmed up to 9,999 minutes, so a typical cycle — grind forward, pause, reverse, rest — runs unattended exactly as defined. A built-in fan ventilates the grinding chamber to keep temperatures under control, which is why continuous full-load operation for up to 72 hours is supported.
The machine accepts two or four grinding jars working simultaneously, and jars of different sizes and materials can be combined in one run. This makes the QXQM-6 a productive tool for method development: four candidate materials, or four different jar configurations, can be compared in a single experiment under identical conditions. Because speed is regulated by frequency control and every sequence is programmable, the same parameters can be reproduced precisely in later batches — an advantage that matters whenever results must be compared across experiments or repeated for a customer.
